My Story

Yes, my name really is Holly Woods, I married into the name :) My husband and I moved to Salem, Oregon 14 years ago.  We have three kids who make the best models (when there is candy involved). I’ve been doing photography for 5 years now based in Salem, OR but I serve my clients everywhere from Albany to Portland and Corvallis to Silverton.

I love the fact that I am giving my clients a product they, and future generations, will enjoy forever. I do everything from newborn to senior pictures and all the family photography in between. I also love photographing weddings, there is no higher compliment then being asked to capture a client’s wedding for them.   Being a photographer is a great honor and one I don’t take lightly.

If you love my work, all glory goes to God. I truly feel He is leading me in my business to capture His beauty and love.

still reading? okay here are some fun facts

  1. I’m the Ice Cream (wo)Man! My family and I bought an old 61’ Ford P350 and converted it into an ice cream truck. We are teaching our kids all the ins and outs of business, customer service and giving back.

  2. I’m a nerd. I love word puzzles and slide puzzles. Escape rooms are my jam…my husband and I have even put a few on for family parties. I also LOVE game shows like Wheel of Fortune and Super Market Sweep.

  3. I’m originally from Nebraska, every other summer or so I make my family drive out to Nebraska…we all love it, seriously! Family is extremely important to me so I love visiting my family in Nebraska every chance I get…even if it’s just to put on a garage sale or to throw a bit*h’n 90th birthday party for my grandma - both of which has happened :)

  4. If you were to tell me when I was younger that I’d be a photographer one day, I would have told you that you were crazy! I wasn’t one of those kids that has had a camera strapped to them all their life documenting life in a beautiful way…no I had my phone camera and that was fine. UNTIL I had my own children only then did I realize the magnitude and importance photography had.

  5. I love icebreakers… it’s weird but I think it’s pretty fun when people have to put themselves out there.

  6. What I love most about being a photographer? People. I am a curious extravert. I love meeting people, hearing about their lives, where they came from, what they do, how they spend their time. I love getting to know people and being a photographer, I get to do it all the time!

  7. I have 3 kids, Benson, Lucan and Tomlyn…they’re my BLT, get it? I love being a mother, I get to be a kid again and explore the fun and beautiful things in life with them.
